QV/01.01Role
Team Leader
The seat that runs the team on the night: slot 1, the net, the plan, and the handoff to the drones.
G1RoleWhat the seat is
Command, comms, higher coordination, reconnaissance handoff. Always slot 1 - the element leader.
Every team - Ghost, Nomad, Raider and the Support Team - has one. Make the rank and you can take it: the slot asks for Sergeant.
G2RoleWhat you do
- Take the tasking from Overlord and turn it into a plan the team can run.
- Run the team net; keep the company net informed with the ready-made reports (SITREP, CONTACTREP, CASEVAC) from the tablet.
- Call for what the team cannot do itself: fires, air, transport, the drones.
- Decide when to push, when to hold and when to pull back. The team moves on your word.
G3RoleWhat you carry
- The team-lead vest and a laser designator; two radios (PRC-148 and PRC-152) and a PRC-117F in the pack for the company net.
- Radio nets: C2, C2.reports, FIRES.cas, FIRES.arty, FIRES.trans, MEDICAL.medevac, ENGINEER, GHOST, NOMAD, RAIDER, SUPPORT.
- Tablet tiles: drones, jam, support, hack, weather, timer, radio.
G4RoleWhat you need to know
- The standing orders, cold.
- The radio procedure and every report format.
- Formations, movement techniques and reaction to contact (Combat skills).
- How to call fires and air (Fires).
G5RoleHow you get here
Make Sergeant. There is no course: lead a fire team under a team leader first, then take the seat when it is open.
Still to be written.
